Hi WoKF mates! please take time to read these articles. If you don't have time, you can SIMPLY IGNORE IT RIGHT NOW ^.^

REGARDLESS of age, sex and race; THIS APPLIES TO almost EVERYONE ^(O.O)^(O.-)^(-.O)^(O.O)^

It's not a new topic at all but it will never be too old to talk about.

In South Korea, people have died because of "gaming marathons". A young South Korean man died because of exhaustion after 54 hours "happy gaming".

In Russia, an innocent man got killed because of conflict between two gamers of opposing guilds. But no "phat lewts" have been found; and unlucky for the ones who killed him, they ain't got no "resurrection" or "reincarnation" abilities to save the victim & themselves from going to prison! (Maybe that will help them stay clear from MMORPGs)

In the USA, a son shot his mother in the head for taking away his Halo CD. Now we might think that this is an extreme addicted case in which an immature teenager failed to control himself. Well, in "less extreme" situations, credible researches have shown that 40% of WoW players are completely devoted to playing the game almost 24 hours a day.

Surveys all led to conclusions that the majority of players aged from 10~40 admitted that they really stopped "leveling" in real life. The other said many aspects of their lives got slowed down. ONLY a minority was able to control themselves. It was revealed that this minority never really played the game in the first place as most of them complained about small in-game chat-box which means they only care about chatting with their friends.

Having said that, we would like to recommend you a small guide on how to overcome an MMORPG addiction. This can be found easily on wikihow.

Basically, it's all about

> NOT just understanding the limits - NOT only just become aware of problems: ACT NOW & ACT QUICK! If we are the ones who got addicted to MMORPG, particularly WoKF Online, it is never too late to delete the toon, uninstall the game and go out to get some fresh air! There are many good advice floating on the internet at the point of your fingers. Google those instead of another hot MMORPG list.

> I hope this article won't be deleted. It is totally up to the gamer to decide whether to play or not. The company's user agreement says that it is not responsible for any damage to players. We are NOT saying that WoKF management is responsible. We are just trying to convey a simple idea that might help some seriously addicted WoKF players.

> For the rest who are NOT ADDICTED: "OK this is NO big deal. Just chill out man. Dis just a dam game Wink" > well, TAKE A LOOK AGAIN AT OURSELVES. When we are at level 65 - 70 - 75 - 80 +, playing many hours everyday with that "adorable" excuse named SUMMER VACATION or the likes, feeling discomforted or even angry at surrounding people (most importantly - family), neglect daily duties of a son/daughter/husband/wife, earn less money with vision blurred thanks to extreme eye fatigue, physical deterioration like we never worked out, talk to other people like geeks/robots (even thou we know NOTHING about statistics, programming, business ethics, advanced biology, algebra..e.t.c.. ) and BEST of all: deprive ourselves of chances to GET LAID - hang out with pretty girls & boys...we will understand how this MMORPG thing is "killing me softly with its updates".

> Of course, these things vary from person to person. We all EXTREMELY HATE to hear total strangers making wild presumptions about other people.

> On the other hand, WoKF is another conventional well-programmed masterpiece among many others. Congratulation for making this nice game & I did enjoy playing for several months in a row since it was first released.
As for now, BON VOYAGE all ONLINE GAMES in the whole wide world!!! ^.~"

Thanks to my family, colleagues and my other inner good side, I am NOW FREE again!!!

ON A SIDE NOTE, FEEL FREE TO COMMENT & CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG - LET US BUILD UP THIS THREAD WITH MORE CONSTRUCTIVE IDEAS (^.

bump this shit up Smile, this is how games r supposed to be played which is why i love WOKF, i can set up a cat shop, check it once or twice a day for 5min, make hundreds of millions, use that to buy my exp to avoid grinding, and when i am broke i and qigong more exp, and i barely have to play, and then when i am in the mood to pk i can Very Happy, this game rocks for the relaxed player, but some of you people Zigota and AerionX in particular, need to throw ur puters out the window and get lives Smile

i agree but a problem the event time is not suitable for players i would rather play 2 hrs a day on events.it gains lots of exp .i hope wokf can allow players to choose when to do town criers.waking up at 2 isnt a practical nor smart thing to do.but i hope that lvling is not that fast.the lvling gap makes it hard to fight some regular opp.or maybe juz take off the lvl gap dodging then i'm very happy. MMO addiction is a bitch...trust me. xD Get out while you can. The hardest thing is to realise that you don't HAVE to play all the time so you won't be "missed" or something awsome will happen and you won't be there, or you HAVE to level so someone else won't outlevel you and so on and so forth. Anyway, one more thing...if you don't feel like playing DON'T force yourself to play, people will not miss you that much, take a time out 2-3 days, a week. Then after a while you'll get hooked on it again in a good way. Me playing the game was like 1/2 of the time I was stressed, 1/4 of the time it was out of this world awsome for me to play and the other 1/4 I was just forcing myself to grind so I don't get too far behind.

Damn that sucks freaking crazy gamers gone mad.... but the cool thing about wokf is the Qigong feature which is great Very Happy and i can leave my computer on for like a few days and get 300 qigong points so less grinding and enjoy more of life Smile

This feature is, no doubt, better than that of other games. I hope it will reduce the time you usually spend on the game. Nevertheless, your life is still attached to the computer so the risk of getting addicted again is still there.

What you said is so true. Game addiction IS a BITCH. Stress, out of this world fantasy and grinding...all it takes for a player to become "gradually" addicted...
Agree with you. The best thing is to never step in and then have to get out...but since most people are already in, GET OUT while you can!

"Don't hate the player, hate the game"
